We got to do a tiny Q&A with Emily Bergl today via the folks at Grassroots and here’s what we learned about our new favorite lady. I asked various questions including some about her take on the horror genre, her favorite book franchises and how much her political character in Grassroots reflects on her own life. So many thanks to Emily for taking the time to answer my questions. She’s been VERY good to Desperatefans and it’s fans so I hope you guys take the chance to thank her as well. If you have any questions for Emily, we are taking them via email at: [email protected] - and may be using them in an upcoming Q&A.
Q&A
- Emily’s answers are bolded.
1. If you could do voice work for any character in an animated Disney feature, new or old, who would it be and why? Definitely Tthe Rescuers! I went to Disneyland for the first time last week and I took my Bianca stuffed animal with me.
2. Your character in Grassroots is very political, do you find yourself the same way? I would say I’m very political. I spent the last week canvasing for the election in East LA.
3. Having been in the horror genre of film what’s your take on today’s “horror” films. I think some of …today’s horror films are actually not horror films, but torture films, of which I’m not a fan. To be honest though, I’m a big scardey cat so I can’t handle many horror films.
4. What is your favorite book franchise? Tori, my favorite book franchise has got to be Anne of Avonlea. I read all of them and the Emily series as well, of course.
5. Will an upcoming revelation about Beth hurt her chances at being friends with the other ladies? Beth and Paul are getting closer on DH, so that will definitely hurt her chances of becoming closer with the ladies of Wisteria Lane, but time will tell.
6. Will you be coming to Canada anytime soon for a cabaret show? I would love to come to Canada with my cabaret. Do you know of any good venues?
I love music, so the last question was more for me than anything. I’m never in the States for any of the good shows and all of the fans I’ve talked to LOVED Emily’s show. So if I can work out a way to see her sing, I’m gonna go for it.
