In a new promotional spot for a live television event benefiting cancer research, TV and film’s brightest stars share their personal connections with the disease.

Stand Up To Cancer will return to primetime TV on September 10, 2010, at 8PM EST & PST / 7PM CT. The one-hour fundraising event will be simulcast live and commercial-free on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Bio, Discovery Health, E!, G4, HBO, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, The Style Network, TV One, and VH1.

Our cast involved with Stand Up To Cancer include Eva Longoria Parker, Vanessa Williams, Marcia Cross, Dana Delany, Teri Hatcher, and James Denton

Batter up! Desperate Housewives has placed Life Unexpected actor Reggie Austin on deck to portray the New York baseball star husband of Vanessa Williams’ new housewife, Renee Perry. Reggie’s the new season, as Doug and Renee’s marriage is sadly on the rocks.

In addition to his role as Jamie on The CW’s Life Unexpected, Reggie also appeared as Devon on the short-lived Debra Messing series, The Starter Wife.

With Renee now attached to boy toys played by 31-year-old Reggie and 37-year-old Brian Austin Green (as Fairview’s new contractor), super sexy Williams, 47, is fast on her way to turning Wisteria Lane into TV’s new Cougar Town.

A few days ago, I added photos of our ladies taken at the Season 7 press conference and today I just got some more! But also as a little extra, a new photoshoot of Eva.

As previously posted by Ausiello, Andrea Bowen will not be returning to Desperate Housewives as a series regular this season, but all is not lost for the Julie fans. Now with this new scoop, we can also expect trouble in the form of Danielle returning to the lane.. Could this have something to do with the baby swap, or is Danielle around to help clean up Bree’s mess? Stay tuned!

Ausiello: As I previously reported, Bowen will not be back as a series regular this season. Exec producer Bob Daily, however, says viewers have not seen the last of Julie. “We try to find something for her every year if we can,” he notes. “We have this revolving repertory company of people that keep reappearing—like Danielle Katz, who’s coming back for an episode as Bree’s daughter.”
