Well, well it seems we got yet another returning character! Which some of us predicted in the forum months ago.

To help explain how the villainous Paul Young is a free man and back living on Wisteria Lane after being sent away for murder, ABC’s Desperate Housewives has called upon Frasier alum Harriet Sansom Harris to appear again on screen as wicked Felicia Tilman. “We are definitely going to show Harriet on the show,” a source confirms to me exclusively. “We will be using her to clarify how Paul got out of jail.”

As I understand it, Harriet’s reappearance will be brief compared to Mark Moses, whose Paul is back full time as the new renter of Mike and Susan’s Wisteria Lane home. Felicia, a nurse of questionable character, arrived in Fariview back in 2005 to avenge Paul’s murder of her sister, Martha Huber and has not been seen since 2006. Ultimately, Paul was convicted not of Mrs. Huber’s murder, but of the murder of Felicia, who faked her own demise — going so far as to sever her own finger to plant as Exhibit #1. “Felicia set him up and then disappeared,” reminds Mark. “She succeeded. But if he got out of prison, I think we can assume the reason is that he was no longer found guilty — because his victim isn’t dead.”

My guess is that Paul used his new wife, Beth, who first made contact with Paul while he was still incarcerated, to expose Felicia’s demented scheme. But Beth may have gotten more than she bargained for. ”I’m not sure she realized when she married him that he’d actually get out, because usually this type of woman marries convicts who are in prison for life,” Mark says. “So life could now hold all sorts of surprises for them both.”

And how might Paul’s dead wife, Mary Alice Young, who lives on as the show’s all-knowing narrator, react to her widower’s remarriage? “I don’t know how they react in the hereafter, but she’ll probably be sort of wistful, not vengeful,” Mark believes. “I think when you’re up in the heavens, you view life in a very detached, humorous way.”

Mark’s return could prove a fitting bookend to fans should the series see its original cast of Housewives (who have yet to sign contracts for an eighth season) depart Wisteria Lane at the end of this upcoming seventh year. ”I had lunch with (series creator) Mark Cherry who gave me an idea of some of the fun stuff he wants Paul to do,” says Mark. “It’s going to be a great run and very interesting to see which of the housewives still think Paul’s guilty and which won’t. And just why is he coming back to Wisteria Lane?”

Yep, he’s hatching a plot! Let’s just hope no one loses a finger this time.

We have not one, but two DH cast members on this list and one of them is one of my favourite villans of all time.

The news that Steve Carrell is definitely leaving ‘The Office’ after next season has got us thinking about a few of our favorite TV bosses and the lessons we’ve learned from them.

So maybe some of these lessons aren’t ones we’d necessarily take into our own workplace; they’re really more like lessons about what not to do. Either way, clearly we have a lot to learn from these bosses, including how to cover your tracks, throw temper tantrums and endanger your employees. See what we’ve learned from our favorite TV bosses. >>

4. Wilhelmina Slater, ‘Ugly Betty.’ Sometimes a boss’s best asset is her ability to make life miserable for anyone who gets in her way. As the creative director of MODE Magazine, Wilhelmina has pulled many tricks out of her couture hat, including seducing the mag’s chairman and working over its hospitalized owner. Let’s do this!

8. Mal Reynolds, ‘Firefly.’ Seriously, who wouldn’t want to work with (or be, for that matter) Mal Reynolds? The scrappy captain of the Serenity is handsome, witty, charming and resourceful. He’s got it all, and he’s also a powerful negotiator. Go, Space Cowboy!

Wisteria Lane is getting a transfusion of new blood this fall in the form of four new characters (not including the incoming diva played by Vanessa Williams). Deets on the rookie quartet (and casting tips) are below…

Maxine: A sweet lady in the 60-80 year-old age range. Maxine is Mike and Susan’s new neighbor in their apartment building, and she has an unusual job that brings in some additional income.
Armchair Casting Director suggestion: Santa Barbara‘s Judith McConnell

Beth: This quirky, sweet thirtysomething woman was Paul Young’s prison pen pal-cum-wife. She’s damaged emotionally but also capable of humor.
Armchair Casting Director suggestion: Charlotte Ross.

Penny Scavo: Tom and Lynette’s 12-year-old daughter is being recast. Not sure why.
Armchair Casting Director suggestion: I’ve got nothin’.

Keith: Hot, sexy, 30-year-old contractor. He’s a charming playboy who turns up on Wisteria Lane. Think Mike Delfino 15 years ago.
Armchair Casting Director suggestion: Eric Winter

And let’s keep the news about Season 7 coming!

ho is being replaced on Desperate Housewives? Going into its seventh season, the ABC series is looking for a new Penny, the daughter of Tom and Lynette Scavo. Kendall Applegate, 11, who took over the role from toddler twins two seasons ago when the show jumped five years into the future, is out. The search is now on for a new 12-year-old actress to take over the role.

In addition, returning villain Paul Young (Mark Moses) has replaced his late wife Mary Alice (Brenda Strong) with a new young bride named Beth. While serving time in prison, Paul was contacted by a quirky lady around age 30, who eventually became his new Mrs. Beth is covering up a painful past, which we can assume Paul preyed upon.

And lastly, a new hunk is coming to Wisteria Lane who sounds like a younger version of James Denton‘s Mike Delfino. Mike will be living off the Lane in a cheap apartment with wife Susan (Teri Hatcher). The new guy is a 30-year-old playboy apparently named Keith (which incidentally was the name a source told me was going to be used for Vanessa Williams’ character’s husband).

Excited about these additions? Which housewife should the new hunk seduce? Perhaps Bree (Marcia Cross), since she will be Orson-less? And with the show going to the effort to replace Penny, what do you hope they’ll do with this character who has long been part of the background scenery?

I certainly won’t mind seeing Mary Alice pissed/jealous with Paul because of her… Replacement. Plus I think Keith either is Renee’s husband or they’re messing up with us like last year with the Bolens and changing names.

As I first reported last month, Vanessa Williams has inked a lucrative contract to stay within the ABC family as the newest of Wisteria Lane’s Desperate Housewives. Now here are the exclusive first details about a character that couldn’t be more different from Vanessa’s Ugly Betty witch, Wilhelmina Slater. First off, she sounds about as desperate as any housewife who has ever lived on the Lane.

From now on this is going to be spoilery, such us containing character name, what she does and how she is ‘close’ to someone in the show. Read at your own risk.

Both Julie and Dana are still in Monte Carlo representing both Dexter and Desperate Housewives; I know Julie accepted the award for Dexter as either for best drama actress for herself and Jennifer Carpenter or for best actor for Michael C. Hall, but no clue about if DH won the award for the third year in a row. But well time to get to the photos, I added more of both Dana and Julie during the 4th day posing for the press and being inteviewed, at the 50th anniversary party, arriving to the awards ceremony and also scans from the magazine edited only during the festival. Kobin shippers will be very happy with the magazine printed today ;)
