Thanks to S, we now know that Renee will have a new love interest in the upcoming season. And we get our first look at him in the season premiere. He has a 16 year old daughter as well and we find out a little more about him when he asks Renee to come to dinner. It’s all we have for now but stay tuned during the summer for more!

Question: I know you can’t tell us who’s getting whacked in the Desperate Housewives finale, but can you say how this person dies? —Claudia
Ausiello: Pay attention, because here’s the one and only clue you’re getting about the looming DH casualty: The person responsible for this person’s passing — drumroll, please — is dead too! And has been for some time.

Ausiello: He’s an experienced detective! And if your name is Paul Young, that’s the last person you want hanging around the neighborhood. Got any hints about what Desperate Housewives has planned for the end of the season? — Regina

ADAM: There have been lots of cops on the show, but none that have waved their nightsticks at the ladies of the Lane. That’s about to change. Word is that the show is looking to add a handsome, middle-aged police detective with strong family values to the mix. He’ll start out as a guest star, but we’re hearing he could be a series regular (aka love interest) next season.
