About

¤ DFO's Upbringing

¤ As with many other members of the fan site community at the time, Desperate Fans Online joined the internet community back in late 2004, September 24th to be exact. ;) Although slow due to lack of interest in Desperate Housewives, as the show continued on throughout it's first season the popularity boomed. At the time, Desperate Fans was the only Desperate Housewives community on the internet, providing the whole world with it's needs to know more about these vivacious women and their scandalous lives. We were the foremost frontier of the DH image gallery, at one time housing more then 100,000 images, episode screencaps and video files.

In 2006 the first webmisstress and creator of Desperate Fans Candice decided to step down, due to personal reasons she quietly asked the staff pick a new admin and so we did - Heidi. Heidi is a spunky gal who now resides in Oklahoma, moving there along with her school dedications are the reason she too stepped down in early 2008. Heidi brought back popular member actives and encouraged moral among the members, she helped us choose the majority our growing staff and often helped out in picture hunting for the forums.

In 2008, shortly after Tori was granted full root administrator powers she began to formulate the idea of bringing back the website, and the gallery. With a passion driven heart she and three members of her staff re-opened the gallery, now dubbed The Fairview Herald in honor of Wisteria Lane's daily newspaper. It was officially opened on January 15th, 2009 and has already garnered over 4000 images and popular member approval. While in the midst of getting the Fairview Herald underway Tori began to construct the ideas on what to put back into the website, how to bring it back and who to go to for help and advice. Desperate Fans Online the website - was officially opened on January 26th, 2009 and so far the response has been great. The hard work that has been put into bringing this all back has been tiring, and at best frustrating, but without the dedication of the staff and the encouragement and contribution of the members this wouldn't have been possible. So thank you guys, for pushing us to keep going even when our love was slowly dying. We couldn't have done it without yah.
